Honors Band is on regular sectional schedule this week (9/19).  However, we will not have our rehearsal on Wednesday (9/21) due to our early release day.  All Honors Band students need to update their information on our Charms database (instructions below...).  It makes it very hard to communicate weekly information to you when many of you still have not updated your information.

UTLEY WOLF BAND STUDENTS (7TH & 8TH):

All 6th grade students need to download these three handouts and review them at your convenience.  We will also go over this information and more the first week of school.  These handouts give you all the information you will need to make sure that you are ready for our first days of fun learning to play our new instruments.

UPDATE YOUR STUDENT'S CHARMS ACCOUNT !!!!


PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO UPDATE YOUR STUDENTS CHARMS ACCOUNT.  THIS IS THE PRIMARY MEANS THAT WE USE TO COMMUNICATE TO PARENTS AND STUDENTS OUTSIDE OF THE NORMAL SCHOOL DAY.  ANY CHANGES TO OUR SCHEDULE OR ADJUSTMENTS CANNOT BE SENT TO YOU IF YOU HAVE NOT UPDATED  YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION IN OUR CHARMS SYSTEM.

The following is instructions for how to log onto our Charms account online.  Updating your contact information with us will take only a minute or two:
 
 
2.  Under the parent/student login enter the group name "utleymsband" and then enter charms.
 
3.  Under the student password enter your students RISD student ID number.
 
4.  Click on the "Student Information" tab on the right side of the screen.  At this point you will update and complete any and all missing information for your student in the appropriate boxes.  When you are finished click "update" at the top of the screen.
 
5.  Exit

Thank you for taking care of this in a timely manner.  Should any information change please remember to update your student's charms account to make sure that you are getting all communications from the Utely Bands.


News and Updates

WELCOME MR. THOMAS!!!!!!!!

We are very lucky to be able to introduce our new associate band director for next year!  Mr. John Thomas will our newest member of our band family.  He will be directing the Symphonic Band as well as teaching beginner classes with Mr. Davis at our elementary schools.  Let us all show our support and warm Utley Band welcome to Mr. Thomas by letting him know how happy we are to have him join our family.  You can contact him directly at (jthomas@rockwallisd.org).  He is very excited to get started and to meet all you guys at summer band.

Ms. Dunn is doing really well.  She has taken a new teaching position in the Mesquite ISD.  She wishes all of you well and hopes that everyone has a great summer!  If you would like to send her a message you can email her at (lauradunn@live.com).
